- Digital Pro-E Review by Mike

"Pros: This is a well-built piece of gear solid, stable. Great wedding shots. Smooth action on the swivel. Adjustable, no extra parts needed.Quality
Cons: It's a little awkward, not very portable. It is thick at the base, so it's a little hard to handle. Also, I find that the flash tends to drift side-to-side a bit. No big deal to correct, but still, something that would lock the flash down would be nice.
It's a little pricey, but this is a case of getting what you paid for. All in all, a very fine product. Definitely recommend."

I'm a big fan of custom brackets. The only draw back for me is the palm support makes it harder for my fingers to reach the zoom ring on my lenses. The same problem exists when I use the mounting plate quick release because this pushes the camera over 3/8 inch back from rotating collar and therefore less of the zoom ring is accessible. I do however like the fact that I can screw my bogen quick release plate to the bottom of bracket. I would like the option of replacing foam handle cover with something harder like leather or plastic. Best feature is that this bracket doesn't weigh very much.Quality

"This a great piece of equipment. Briliant concept, flawless execution.Quality
If you're using a grip/battery pack or a body that has a vertical grip built in which is the best way, since the normal shutter button rotates up under the flash bracket when you turn the camera it's a little awkward to use the vertical grip shutter button since the mounting plate mounts to the outside of the grip, but it's still very workable."

"The good points would be the brackets compactness and the new anti twist camera plate. I miss the extendable legs which allow one to place the camera on a table etc. I find that this hinders my enjoyment of using this new bracket and make me continue to use my older one, the Digital PRO-M.Quality

"Just received my PRO E bracket. Saw a modified custom made version of a bracket like this about two years ago and have been looking for one ever since.Quality
Build quality is excellent and it is easy to handle and very light weight. Cost is a little high but then you get what you pay for and the quality is excellent.
I especially like the new reversable camera mounting plate. I can swith from my EOS 1D Mark IIN to my 5D without the grip without having to buy another bracket or part.
Great bracket."
